Columbian born Armando Gallo started On The Route Bicycles in 1971. He made the store his life's work over the next 25 years. In 1998 On The Route was passed from Armando to it's current owners Joanne and Denis. Joanne and Denis have grown the business from its ever popular 3200 sq ft. shop to include a  most recently acquired 3400 sq. ft. high end road boutique just next door. Currently serving neighborhood families, cycling commuters, casual and serious cyclists. On The Route continues to strive to be the best shop in Chicago.
