Colombian born Armando Gallo started On the Route Bicycles in 1971. He made the store his life's work over the next 25 years. In 1998, On the Route was passed from Armando to it's current owners, Joanne and Denis. Joanne and Denis have grown the business from its first ever flagship shop to include a Lawrence Ave location and a South Loop location. Here to serve neighborhood families, cycling commuters, casual and serious cyclists, On the Route continues to strive to be the best shop in Chicago.
